The awards program will be held from 6 to 7:30 pm. This is a free event for the winning teachers and students with 2 additional guests. Following the awards, the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers will hold their annual benefit, a ticketed affair, also at Carnegie Hall. Students and teachers have also been invited to take advantage of workshops, which have been arranged at the studios of writers and artists in New York City. New this year, teachers have been invited to a special congratulatory breakfast Thursday morning. Following a full day of workshops and enjoying the Big Apple, the celebration is capped off with the gallery opening event from 5 to 8 pm at the World Financial Center, Courtyard Gallery. All Gold Medal winning work will be on exhibit.
